ABOUT THE DATABASE

Registering your business with our site enters you into our database. This gives you access to an audience of long-haul visitors, a web presence and the opportunity to be connected to potential overseas visitors. It also lets you setup a link to your own website if you have one.

We are offering this for free because we aim to connect potential visitors to New Zealand with all of the information and resources that they could need to plan and book a trip to New Zealand.

Our database will contain separate information for every partner registered and approved through this website, whether they are a tourism operator, a travel seller, a booking or information service or an event being held in New Zealand.

If your business has multiple functions, you can enter a unique set of information for each one. Because you completed the form, and are able to update the information yourself at a later date, you have control over what information is presented.

Information held on the database includes:

• Name of the business/service
• The type of business/service that you provide
• Administrative contact (who TOURISM NEW ZEALAND can contact)
• Physical location details, if applicable (how to get there)
• Internet details, if applicable (website and e-mail address)
• Other contact and booking details (phone, fax)
• Descriptive text (long and short)
• Keywords (for searching)
• Geographical region and number of locations, if applicable
• Option to share your listing information with other promotional websites
• Business logo (optional)

Please note that all the information you give us for the database will be verified before the information goes live.

Updating information

Once we've entered your information onto the database, it is a simple procedure to update or change the content. We put that in your hands so you have control of what is said about yourself. To ensure that the information remains up-do-date and accurate, we will remind you to update your site page once a year.

Your registration and administration details are password protected so that you and only you have access to this information. You may edit the information contained in the database by using your username and password.

Email capability

You must have email to enter your details in the database. Email will be the primary means of communication between Tourism New Zealand and the tourism operators registered in our database. (We will be sending friendly reminders to you to update information held in the database and other similar notifications, but we promise not to bombard you with unnecessary mail.)

Privacy/security issues

The information you supply will be used by Tourism New Zealand to populate its online database of New Zealand tourism operators, travel sellers, information providers and events. The company information and contact details you provide will be made available on the website to enable overseas visitors to contact you directly regarding the attraction or service you offer.

Tourism New Zealand guarantees that it will not, without prior consent from the partner, disclose, sell or rent the information provided for its database in part or in full, other than as disclosed on the website.
